Miro Launches Expanded Enterprise AI Collaboration Tools
Miro has introduced a series of new artificial intelligence and workflow features to improve collaboration across large organisations.
The announcements were made during the company’s Canvas 26 event, where Miro outlined updates to its AI ecosystem, including enhancements to Sidekicks and Flows, as well as new Connectors designed to link systems and workflows across enterprises.
The company said the updates are intended to support collaboration between employees, AI agents and business systems within a shared workspace environment.
Miro’s latest product expansion comes as organisations continue to adopt generative AI tools throughout departments and operations. According to the company, many businesses are facing operational issues stemming from disconnected workflows, separate AI systems, and limited coordination between teams and automated tools.
The company announced that businesses are now operating across several forms of collaboration simultaneously, including human-to-human interaction, human-to-agent workflows, and agent-to-agent processes.
Miro said this change has created visibility and collaboration challenges inside organisations, particularly when projects move from planning into execution.
The company announced that its canvas environment is designed to provide a shared workspace where teams and AI systems can operate within the same context rather than through separate applications or isolated workflows.
According to Miro, the platform is intended to combine collaboration, workflow management, and AI into a single operational environment.
Chief Executive and Founder Andrey Khusid said many AI productivity gains remain confined to individual users and separate systems rather than being shared across organisations.
The company said that bringing different forms of collaboration into a common environment could improve coordination between teams and strengthen operational visibility.
Miro also stated that organisations will increasingly need systems that support collaboration between employees and AI-powered tools as workplaces continue to integrate automated processes.
The company said human collaboration remains an important part of enterprise work despite the growth of agentic AI systems.
Miro stated that areas such as judgement, creativity, trust and common understanding continue to rely on collaboration between people alongside AI-supported processes.
IDC Research Vice President for Collaboration and Communities Wayne Kurtzman said organisations should focus on technologies that support creativity, agility and innovation inside teams.
Kurtzman also said AI systems would play a growing role in helping organisations manage employee collaboration, workflows, and automated processes.
Endava Chief Technology Officer Matt Cloke said isolated AI systems could increase operational speed without improving coordination across organisations.
Cloke also said that maintaining visible, accessible context within collaborative contexts was important for teams working with AI systems.
According to Cloke, contextual information can include documents, images, workflows, tables, sticky notes and dynamic components used within collaborative systems.
Among the updates announced at Canvas 26, Miro confirmed that AI agents can now operate directly inside the company’s Canvas environment through expanded integrations with Slack, GitHub, Atlassian, ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
The company also introduced updated capabilities for Sidekicks, which Miro described as an agentic support tool that can interpret intent, generate boards, retain context, and support voice-based collaboration.
Flows received expanded automation functions designed to connect enterprise systems, manage recurring workflows, coordinate approvals and synchronise tasks across multiple platforms.
Miro also announced new AI-powered capabilities within Miro Prototypes. These include code-to-prototype generation, automated brand styling, multi-variant design creation and integration with Figma.
The company said the updates are intended to support collaboration, workflow coordination, and AI-assisted work within a single connected environment.
Miro stated that embedding AI agents directly into collaborative workspaces and expanding automation across systems are part of its wider platform development plans.
The company also said the latest additions are designed to reduce fragmentation between tools and workflows while permitting teams and AI systems to operate together within shared processes.
According to Miro, the platform updates emphasise connecting collaboration, automation and workflow management within a single workspace used across organisations.
